ACM 2009: Indian team for the Azlan Shah Cup to be played at Ipoh, Malaysia, has been announced. One of the National Selectors, Dhanraj Pillay, is designated as Manager.
Pillay is goldmedallist of the Azlan Shah Cup, he last played in the competition in 2004, where he led the side as well.

With due to respect to Jugraj Singh… His Carrer in International hockey is over..If the game was like early days when a drag flicker could be susbtituted for taking a PC, then he could have been considered… but now his running on the field is very poor for international standard, but for domestic he can bully the umpires and opponents and act tough on field… But he will be a baggage for the team in International competitions.
