Air Force Hockey tourney from today

Eight teams will compete in this year’s Air Force Hockey Championship to be organised from August 4 to 8 at the Sector 42 Hockey Stadium here. Players of international repute such as Baldev Singh and Sanwar Ali will be the star attractions during the four-day event. Besides the inaugural match, the opening ceremony on Monday would be marked by a march past by the participating teams and colourful programmes by school children, an official spokesman said here today. Eight teams namely, Air Headquarters, Western Air Command (WAC), Maintenance Command (MC), Central Air Command (CAC), Training Command (TC), Eastern Air Command (EAC), South Western Air Command (SWAC) and Southern Air Command (SAC) would be participating in the Championship.
