Thursday, October 29, 2009: Star studded Air India continued their winning streak in the MHA Super league keeping the all win record intact today they steamrolled Maharashtra State Police ( M.S.Police ) by a thumping margin of 9-2 after being ahead by 4-0 during breather while Central Railway put it across BEG ‘A’ by a slender margin of 2-1, at lemon break Central Rly and BWG ‘A’ level score 1-1 of the same league.

Fancied airmen starting on offensive mode from word ‘go’ missed a sitter in the very opening minutes of the play. Shivendra Singh’s superb cross from the axis Taranjit Singh failed to connect just at the spot, unfazed the airmen’s continued their onslaught they went up by 2-0 mercurial Dhanraj Pillay concerted both the penalty corner back to back ( 9th & 12th minutes ) keeping the possession totally in their hands airmen’s further accelerated their score this time Dhanraj Pillay who was instrumental in getting all the goals passed a gem of pass to Yuvraj Walmiki from the 25 yards Yuvraj obliged by firing from close range 3-0. Thereafter airmen are fired at regular period just before breather Shivendra Singh flicked in a superb backhand drive by Pillay 4-0. Soon after recess went up 5-0 Pillay & Yuvraj move later bangs in from acute angle. M.S.Police did try to match their fancied rivals but were able only in patches; however the cops pulled a goal back 49th minutes. Amit Yesur ( 69th ) accounted for it (9-2) Air India garnered 18 points from 6 matches played so far , M.S.Police have accumulated 3 points from 5 matches ( 1 win, 4 loss ).

Central Railway after their dismal performance in earlier matches started of cautiously today while BEG ‘A” too did not have good outing in the ongoing MHA Super League so far . C.Rly went into lead in the 16th minutes defender Nilesh Mane converted a direct penalty corner 1-0 . There after the rail men lost their track and could not find the going BEG ‘A’ on the other hand gradually working and found the equalizer in the 33rd minutes during a penalty corner conversion a direct hit by BEG striker struck on C.Rly defender’s foot on the goal line resultant ‘stroke ‘skipper Niranjan Ekka converted with ease (1-1 ) After the break time C.Rly looked frustrated twice they were down to 10 men’s and once to 9 men. 4 yellow cards and 2 green cards were flashed out to control the tie by officiating officials. However Shamsher Khan saved the day for the railmen’s by hanging into the wooden cage the decisive goal which save them win ( 68th minutes )
