Australia and South Africa inch towards the semis slots, as they drew their match 1-1 today on the fifth day of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Australia took the lead in the eighth minute with Emily Hurtz finding the net, only to be equalized 23 minutes later by Sulette Damons.

Change of sides did not bring any goals.

With two wins and draw, both teams now have seven points each. While SA will play India and Australia the Scottish, both team need a point to move ahead of India in the semis.

India need to beat South Africa and then wait for other match results for their semifinal slot, which now looks an attainable dream.
