Bangalore: Bishop Cotton Boys’ School slotted in three first-half goals to post a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Dream A Dream in the St Joseph’s Boy’s High School Centenary hockey tournament for seniors at the KSHA Stadium on Monday.
Cottonians took a 2-0 lead when an in-form Abhishek Kumar notched a brace in a span of three minutes (21st, 23rd) to put their rivals under pressure. Dream A Dream, who lost their last match in a demoralising 7-0 fashion, were down by three goals when Ameen Ahmed pumped in a 29th-minute strike. Ankish M sealed the issue for the winners with a goal midway through the second-half as Cottonians kept their perfect record with three wins from as many matches.
In the Fr Eric Vaz memorial tournament for juniors, Frank Anthony Public School went down 0-2 to St Joseph’s Boys’ High School. Kevin Pramodh John scored once in each session (29th, 58th) as Josephites earned full points from the outing.
