Canada survived a scare from Poland before finishing fifth in the Delhi Olympic Qualifier.
In the exciting bronze medal match, both the teams showcased their scoring prowess, bringing in equlizers.

Canada opened the scoring early in the match with a goal from veteran Ken Pereira only to be equlized by another veteran Arthur Mikula. Canadian lead survived only 5 minutes. Then bothteam scored a brace each. Mat Guest and Ken again struck once to what seemed an unassailable 4-2 lead, but the fighting Poland came out with its third goal within a minute from Ken’s second goal. There after the Pan American did not allow much leeway and spent off the 18 minutes without any damage to their citadel.

Over all its a disappointing show from the Canadians who were billed as the biggest threat for India’s quest to be in London.
