Krida Probodhini pulled off a 2-1 win against Super XI in the Barclays Hockey League match

Mumbai: Krida Probodhini pulled off a 2-1 win over Super XI in a senior division match of the Barclays Hockey League at the Ammunition Factory ground on Saturday. The Super XI challenged their rivals in every department, but ran out of patience and that was the main reason for their downfall.

Three cards and one yellow were given to the side from Chikalwadi and they had to play with nine players for three minutes and with 10 players for the same number of minutes.
Krida Probodhini coach Ajit Lakra had no option but to play, as many of their boys were injured while some were answering exams (XI).

They had only 10 and still played the match, but Lakra’s presence made a difference as both the goals were spearheaded by the Olympian.

In the first instance, his hit from the right corner of the field saw Sangram Chogule score.

Later, Ajit was back in the action, this time it was Pramod Shingunde, whose reverse hit crashed into the net. Santosh Musale was the goal scorer for Super XI.

Vijay Singh’s strike with two minutes to go enabled Metro Sports Club ‘A’ to hold Rakshak Sports Club in the other match of the day. Sameer Bhosale put Rakshak boys ahead in the 35th minute.
