Eight Manchester stars back in action

February: Indian team for defending the Commonwealth Games hockey title has been announced. Eight girls who did a wonderful job at Manchester in 2002 are ready to go for the kill in Melbourne next month. Goalkeeper Helen Mary, midfielders Sumrai Tete, Masira Surin, forwards Sanggai Chanu, Saba Anjum, Mamta Kharab, Jothi Sunita Kullu were all part of the 2002 victorious team. These veterans players will be joined by a new goalie Bala, defenders Nilima Kujur and sensational forwards Surinder Kaur and Jasjeet Kaur. The team is still undergoing camp at Lucknow.

1.Defending Champions Indian Girls are undergoing a training camp at the new hockey fecility at Lucknow. The camp started on 15th December 2005 is likely to go on for a month.
