FIH presents new online facility

June 12th, 2013

As part of its commitment to provide a fan-centric experience for its events, the FIH announced today that it is providing an embeddable widget for all National Associations to use that will link directly to the FIH’s live streaming page on You Tube.

The initiative is part of the FIH’s new partnership with Rightster, which is helping facilitate the streaming and video content process.

Included in the ‘widget’, which is the screen that embeds the video material, will be the live matches from the Hockey World League, including tomorrow’s kick off of the Semi-Finals in Rotterdam and all ensuing matches in the upcoming semi-final events in London and Johor. Fans can also enjoy viewing highlights from the Semi-Final action, behind the scenes video, master class videos and trick videos.

The content will also include major future FIH events including the Champions Trophy and Hockey World League Round 4.

The project is a major step in the FIH’s digital media plan and also highlights the goal of making content available for free around the globe and working closely with hockey’s National Associations in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration to improve the fans’ overall experience.

Check out some video from Rotterdam starting tomorrow and enjoy the new frontier of hockey streaming!
