Former hockey star is KSCA CEO

Bangalore: In a move cutting across sporting barriers, the Karnataka State Cricket Association signed up former India hockey captain M.P. Ganesh as its chief executive officer.

Ganesh has also served as the executive director of SAI Southern Centre besides his earlier stints as a top-notch hockey player.

His varied experience as a player as well as an administrator secured him a two-year contract with the KSCA.

“I have more than 20 years of experience in the field of sports management and I am looking forward to this assignment.

“My goals would be to help nurture cricketing talent, improve infrastructure, create the right ambience for the players and public and I can dedicate all my time for this post.

“I am sure that all the experience I have gained over the years will stand me in good stead,” said Ganesh, who assumed office on Monday.
