`HOPE HI & IHF BURY THE PAST’
The sports minister Ajay Maken, has convened a meeting of Hockey India (HI) and the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) on Saturday to try and bring about a patchup between the rivals.
“I hope the units bury the hatchet and join hands to work for the development of the game.
For the promotion of the game, it’s important to have a unified body,“ said Maken.
The minister also informed that the government had earmarked R 258.39 crore for the preparation of the country’s top athletes for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Except swimming, coaching camps in 15 disciplines will be conducted across the country.
