ONGC grounds Air India in Nehru Hockey
Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) beat Air India 3-1 in a Pool A match of the Nehru Cup tournament here at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. ONGC scored the first goal in the 11th minute and then doubled their lead in the 19th minute. Air India reduced the deficit after the break. While all these goals were scored through penalty corners, the final one which sealed the game for ONGC was a field goal.
In a Pool A game, Army XI beat Indian Oil 2-0. The victors scored on either side of the break and both were field goals.

Subroto Cup
Govt Mamit High School, Mamit, Mizoram thrashed IPSC, Rajkumar College, Raipur, Chhattisgarh 12-0 in the Subroto Cup football.
Ramengwawia scored four goals for the winners while Lalrempuia and Joseph scored two each.
In another match, Haldia High School, Durgachak Colony, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal beat Govt Sr Secondary School, Minicoy Island, Lakshadweep 7-0. Among other winners were GV Raja Sports school, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala; Progressive English School, Wangjing, Manipur and Govt HSS, Muzawar Wada, Sanquelim, Goa. Mamta Modern, New Delhi drew 0-0 with Sudhanwa Sr Sec school, Jampuijala, Tripura.
On Monday, Guru Govind Singh Inter-College, Bareilly, UP will play Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Govt Model High School, Chandigarh reached the final of the sub-junior event beating NCC Dte (WB&S) 2-0.
