Hockey Training and revisied schedule of Senior Men & Women, forthcoming Under-18 Asia Cup for boys are as under:

SENIOR MEN
The next training camp for the core group of men probables for the preparation of Commonwealth Games 2010 shall be held at Balewadi, Pune from 07th September to 02nd October.

The probables with the coaching and support staff shall report at Pune on 06 September.

The Indian men’s team will thereafter go to Canada to train and play a Test series at Victoria and Vancouver from 03-26 October.

The team is scheduled to play six Tests against Canada as under :

09 October at Victoria
11 October at Victoria
14 October at Vancouver
16 October at Vancouver
18 October at Vancouver
21 October at Vancouver
24 October at Vancouver

SENIOR WOMEN
India will also play in the 7th Women’s Asia Cup at Bangkok from 30 October – 08 November. The training camp for the core group of probables team commenceS at Bhopal from 07 September and the selection trials shall be conducted between the 01st to 04th October.


There will be a short break thereafter and the camp for the team and other core probables shall resume on 10th October till the departure of the 18 player team for Bangkok on 25th October.

UNDER 18 BOYS
India will take part in the Under 18 Boys Asia Cup to be held at Yangon, Myanmar from 14 -22 November.

The selection trials are being conducted at Bhopal on 3rd and 4th September.

Forty boys would be selected from the probables drawn from various academies including Pamposh Sports Hostel Rourkela, Chandigarh Hockey Academy, Punjab Sports Department, Punjab & Sind Bank, Punjab National Bank, Vivek Academy Varanasi, Amritsar Hockey Academy, Manipur Academy, Mumbai, Pune, SAIL, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and SAI Centres across the country.

The first phase of the camp shall conclude on 30th September.
