On the sidelines of the on-going fitness camp at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali, MP Pandove, secretary of PCA, addressed the senior cricketers. In the presence of the coaches, he made it clear to the young and aspiring cricketers to be vigilant from the various pit falls that the modern cricketers come across in their daily lives.

He cautioned senior players of the state team against giving in to various temptations that are prevalent in modern-day cricket. He emphasised that players should take a lesson from the various sordid events which have unfolded in the recent times.

Pandove lauded the efforts of the players and the coaches for the good performances of the state teams in the last domestic season. Pandove hoped that the pre-season fitness camps will go a long way in helping the players to perform better in the upcoming season. He reiterated that the PCA management make all the efforts to help the players in furtherance of their career provided they did not shun hard work and play their individual role according to the requirements of the team during tournaments.

Pandove then congratulated young cricketers like Mandeep Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Sarabjit Singh Lada, Jiwanjot Singh and Rahul Sharma for their selection for the India-A team along with Siddharth Kaul who is already with the India A team touring South Africa. He hoped that many more youngsters from the state would make it to the India team.
