It was a rare happening. Famous Indian medio and former captain Ignace Tirkey married his counterpart in the women’s team, Masira Surin.
Ignace led India to many important tournaments like Commonwealth Games in 2006. Masira Surin, on the other hand is, like Ignace, manned the midfield with aplomb. She is also gold medallist of the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
