First half
Despite playing very ordinarily against equally mediocre team Malaysia, India had two goals to show up in the half time.

In the 27th Minute, Ranjeet Sing’s hit from left flank was deflected in by Pramod Kumar much to the relief of the spars ground to witness the important match.

A couple of minutes later, reliable scorer Diwakar Ram dispatched a hyberbole straight into the middle of the net to enlarge the lead.

This was Diwakar Ram’s third goal, having scored a brace in the first match against Japan.

India could thankfully move the score board in the first half. However, the early proceeding never seemed going the way the coach and the team would have liked to.

Continuing their below normal performance that everyone witnessed yesterday, the team showed no improvement in the first half at least. There was lethergy, moves were not constructive, even defence clearances were pathetic.

Second Half:

Malaysia gave a semblence of fight in the second half, with their penalty corner expert Kairial Anuar Md Isa scoring five minutes after the play resumed.

Diwakar Ram, who later regretted he missed many, added one more to give a respectability to Indian fight, which was almost lacking otherwise.
