India held to a 1-1 draw by USA in 4 Nation Hockey Tournament

USA Held India for a deserving 1-1 draw in the Four Nation Tournament at the Harbour Hockey Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand on Friday.
India took the lead in the 27th minute through Deepika Thakur while Katie O Donnel equalized in the 66th minute.
India dominated the proceedings largely in the match but faltered in the end when they lost ball possession to their rivals thereby allowing USA to penetrate into the striking circle and score.
India earned four penalty corners but could not make use of any.
The Indian defence and midfield was compact with Joydeep Kaur, Asunta lakra and Ritu Rani making timely interceptions.
Now India will play Australia in their last round robin league match of the first phase of the tournament on Sunday.
