India goes down to China 4-6 in the first test
Despite scoring three goals in the second half, India went down to superior Chinese girls 4-6 inteh first test played at Shanghai in China on Tuesday.
China set the pace and quicky bang on target scoring three goals coming in 3rd 5th and 23rd minutes before Rani Ramphal scored a consolation goal in the 25th minute.
Undaunted, the hosts converted a penalty stroke to change sides with a 4-1 goal advantage.
In the second half goal too goals rained. Though it is China which scored a goal within a minute from the resumption, Rani Ramphal, Soundarya and Chanchandevi scored a goal apeice.
China struck once in the 51st minute and was contended to win the match at 6-4.
India and China who played the last years’s Asia Cup final at Bangkok will play two more tests in this week.
