The 15th ranked Ireland proved a tough nut to crack for India, and almost came to equalizing again but for some poor penalty corner finish in the last five minutes of the game.
Rupinder Pal struck in the 16th minute after India wasting a couple of penalty corner. Ireland’s Connor Harte annulled in 11 minutes later.
India again took the lead, again through penalty corner off the stick of Raghunath in the 39th minute.
Ireland did not take it, went on full stream which game them full dividends when Eugene Magee, the most experienced of the Irish lot, connected a cross to bring the score on par.
Even as the Irish seemed to cruise along a draw, Dharamvir stunned the otherwise inform goalie David Harte, hitting from the edge of the circle, after Mandeep did all the spadework.
India now tops the table with 9 points, third win in as many as points.
Olympian Dharamvir Singh was adjudged the Best Player of the Match.
