Indian team disappointed with themselves

The scoreline may be a tight 3-2 in favour of the Netherlands, but they truly dominated the show in the opener. India however did something worthwhile in the second half, but hockey match is for full 70 minutes and it is what the winning side showed today. Below are the views of Indian side:

Indian chief coach Gregg Clark:

“It is obviously disappointing. We had fairly good chances in the second half. But, their counter-attacks were better.”

Indian coach Baljit Singh Saini:

“We let Netherlands score easy goals. Our tackle was good but we couldn’t manage the rebound. So, there are no technical issues with the team only we failed to convert chances.”

Forward Ramandeep Singh:
Captain Manpreet Singh:
“Holland is a fairly good team. We played well in the second half. We will try to win the next two matches to qualify for the quarter-finals.”
