Indian women finish the series with a draw

The Indian women hockey team was held to a 2-2 draw in the fourth and final Test match against Canada at UBC Wright Field, Vancouver today.

India however won the series 2-0 and were awarded the Canada-India Cup 2010.

The Indian goal scorers were skipper Surinder Kaur from a penalty corner (11th min) and Saba Anjum (24th min), while Diane Roemer struck twice from penalty corners for Canada (13th & 50th minutes).

India will now fly to Germany tomorrow to play the Four Nations Tournament at Essen from 25-27 June. The other teams are Germany, Australia and Ireland.
