‘INDIA’S GAME’ film premiere tomorrow at Bhubaneswar

To commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence, Government of Odisha and Hockey India are bringing out a documentary entitled ‘India’s Game: Story of a team that united a Nation”. The film celebrates the role of Indian hockey in creating a sense of nationalism and identify for the Indians, pre and post-independence era.

The premiere of this one-in-a-life time documentary is scheduled on 15th August 2023 at 06.00 PM in New Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.

Expectedly and most significantly, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik, an ardent supporter of the game, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
This writer has been invited as Guest of Honour to the event for ‘making contribution towards the making of the document”.
According to an official communication this film will re-live the journey of hockey in India through the decades when India dominated the game bringing a sense of pride and glory for all Indians and the very recent Bronze at the Tokyo 2020.
