It is finally happening. If sources in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, are to be believed, Jose Brasa has given his consent to take up the Indian men’s team coaching.
Ministry officials confirm Jose Brasa will be joining Indian team for their Asia Cup task.
Defending Champions India will be leaving for coastal city Kuantan in Malaysia in the first week of next month to take part in the 8th Asia Cup. The team has already been picked up, with Sandeep Singh at the helm of affairs.
It remains to be seen whether Brasa will come to India or directly join there in Malaysia.
Indian administrators were scouting for a foreign coach, whose choice fell on the almost retired Jose Brasa.
Jose Brasa is Madrid based Spaniard. He last coached his country’s women team in 1992.
