Junior team leaves for World Cup campaign

Our Junior National team led by Diwakarram has left the Indian shores to take part in the mother of all battles, Junior World Cup, jointly hosted by Malaysia and Singapore.

The 2001 title winners India is in Pool D which will be held in the newly laid sports complex in Singapore. Singapore, New Zealand, The Netherlands and Poland are in the same pool of which the top two teams will move to super league to be held in nearby Malaysian city Johor Bahru in Malaysia.

Adhoc Committee has named Anumpam Ghulati as the Manager for the tour.

Indian Team: Goalkeepers: Mrinal Choubey, Harjit Singh; Full backs: Diwakar Ram, Innocent Kullu, M Kullu; Halfs: Birendra Lakra, Aamajeet Ekka, Vikas Sharma, Vivek, Belaser Horo, Vikas Pillay; Forwards: Mandeep Antil, Jay Karan, Danish Mujtaba, Pramod Kumar, Mohd Amir Khan, V Singh, Dharamvir Singh.

Chief coach: AK Bansal, Coach Clarance Lobo, Physio: Shrikant Iyenkar, Trainer: Pradip Dutta, Manager: Anupam Ghulati.
