Lucknow: SAI lift hockey title

Sports Authority of India (SAI) pipped Uttar Pradesh Police (UPP) by a solitary goal to clinch the Lucknow Hockey League at the Babu stadium on Saturday. The winning goal was scored by Janardan in the 18th minute of play. UPP wasted four penalty corners in their bid to find the equaliser. There were various awards given away by Ravindra Pal, the 1980 gold medal winner Olympian. Abhinav Pandey (Lucknow Hostel) and Owais Ahmed (United Club) got the Upcoming Players awards. Janardan and Shashikant (UPP) bagged Best Player awards. UPP Radio walked away with the Fair Play trophy.
