Sports Hostel fought past Northern Railway 2-1, while UP Police trounced Sashastra Seema Bal 5-0 in the district senior hockey league at Babu stadium. In an evenly fought match, Deepak (31st) and Surya Nath (57th) scored for Sports Hostel while Daud (42nd) had pulled one back for the railway team.
Earlier it was a one-sided affair for UP Police, for whom Sajid Khan scored twice in the 42nd and 58th minutes. The other scorers were – Pramod (15th), Manish Gupta (17th) and Rakesh (39th).
