Holders Northern Railways of Delhi, runners-up Western Railways,Mumbai and hosts Rail Coach Factory of Kapurthala start their winning stream by beating Western Central Railways, Eastern Railways Kolkata and North Eastern railways Gorakhpur respectively in the 30th All India Inter Railways Women Hockey Championship here at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium today.
The inaugural match was played between hosts Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala and North Eastern Railways Gorakhpur. RCf team with few new International stars played good game from the word go. In the 14th minute Captian Depika struck for RCF (1-0). In the 25th minute Anuradha Devi scored the field goal from left flank ( 2-0). In the 30th minute Rasalind Ralte consolidated ( 3-0). In the 38th minute Amandeep kaur scored the winners from right flank (4-0). In the 42nd minute of the play NER girls reduced the margin with penalty stroke conversion by Anima Sorenj ( 1-4). In the 47th minute Depika once again netted the ball for RCF ( 5-1). In 52nd minute and 62nd minute Anima and Ashrita toppo scored for NER to reduce the margin ( 3-5).
In the second match holders star-studded Northern Railways, Delhi beat Western Central Railways by 4-1. for the winners scorer were Surinder Kaur ( 39th and 53rd minute), Pritam Siwach (12th minute), Balwinder Kaur (36th minute) for the WCR the scorer was Harjinder Kaur who scored in the 42 nd minute with penalty corner conversion ( 4-1).
In the Third match lasy years Runners up Western railways Mumbai blanked Estern Railways by 7-0. The scorers were Chanchal Devi (41st, 43rd and 68th minute), Saba anjum (5th minute), Ranjeeta Devi (34th minute), Rujuta Mullick (54th minute) and Sanggai Chanu (64th minute) of the play.
In the fouth match South Eastern Railways derailed Central Railways Mumbai by 2-0. the scorer for the winners were Adlin Kerkatta and Pushpa Pradhan.
