Despite struggling in the first half, Pakistan came on its own terms to outclass Bangladesh 8-2 while Japan surprised Malaysia with a heart warming 3-1 win on the fourth day of the ongoing Junior Asia Cup.
All Pakistan’s goals barring one came in the second half. Pakistan in fact trailed 2-1 at half time, warming the hearts of Bangladesh.
Floodgates of goal opened in the second half. Once Abdul Haseem Khan scored in the 43 rd minute. He scored one more in the 60th minute. Like him, Md. Zubair also made a brace of goal.
In the pitch no. 2, witnessed by visiting AHF Secretary General P. Alagendra, Malaysia failed to capitalize the single goal lead it gook in the 19th minute. Japan scored thrice in the 28th, 35th and 60th minutes, courtesy Ken Yoshikwa’s brace.
As of now it appears Pakistan will take on India in the semifinals unless of course India does not score much goals against Singapore.
