Pakistan’s Olympic captain Asad Malik, 79, is no more.
He was met with a road accident that took his soul away for heavenly abode today.
The 79 year old Olympian Asad Malik was one of the leading lights of Pakistan hockey who gave their nation a golden phase.
He was captain of the 1972 Munich Olympics, after being part of the historic 1968 Mexico Olympics.
He was a left-winger, and made his international debut in 1961.
Born at Qila Sheikhupura on 30th October 1941, Asad had represented Pakistan at Asian Games and world cup, besides above mentioned Olympics.
