University of Science Malaysia would like to invite Indian teams to join us in this spectacular event of Pesta Hoki USM Penalng International. It is an annual hockey feast and the largest field hockey carnival in Malaysia. At its peak, we entertained and played host for 356 teams of local and international. Today foreign teams include those from Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Punjab, Uzbeskistan and not forgetting our loyal supporters, Sri Lanka.
In 1998, PESTA HOKI USM PENANG INTERNATIONAL entered The Malaysia Book of Records as the largest Sixes and Sevens Hockey event to be organized with the total participation of 276 teams. No other sporting event of this magnitude is managed solely by students. This is due to the relentless effort by the organizing committee comprising almost 200 students headed by 12 students in the secretariat from various schools in University of Science Malaysia .
