Ritu Rani will lead India in the Hero Hockey World League Round 2 to be held at Major DhyanChand National Stadium in New Delhi from 18- 24 February 2013.
Chanchan Devi will be her deputy.
The camp for the preparations of the Hero Hockey World league Round 2 is already in progress from 4 January 2013 and will continue till the commencement of the tournament.
The six team tournament has India (FIH World Ranking 12), Japan (9), Russia (20), Malaysia (22), Kazakhstan (33) and Fiji (59).
The inaugural match of the league will be played between women teams of Japan and Fiji on 18 February. The Indian Women team will take on Kazakhstan in their first match on 18 February, followed by Malaysia (19 Feb), Fiji (21 Feb), Japan (22 Feb) and Russia (24 Feb).
This tournament is part of the qualification league for the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup 2014 to be held in The Hague, Netherlands.
