SANGRUR: BADMINTON MEET ENDS

BADMINTON MEET ENDS: Sangrur district dominated proceedings by bagging first positions in under-19 girls, under-14 girls and under-17 boys sections at the 54th Punjab School Badminton Championship for boys and girls, which concluded at the Guru Nanak Sarai Badminton Hall here on Tuesday. In the under-19 boys section, Jalandhar district secured first position while Ropar finished second. In the under-17 boys, Sangrur got first place and Ropar second. In the under 14 boys, Gurdaspur district emerged winner and Amritsar runners-up. In the under-19 girls, Sangrur was first while Ludhiana finished second. In the under 17 girls, Ferozepur district bagged first place and Sangrur was second. In the Under-14 girls category, Sangrur district won the first position while Patiala district got second place. — TNS
