SAS 2019: Sunil and Rupinder among the probables

Stalwarts SV Sunil and defender Rupinder Pal Singh were among the 34 players included in the preparatory camp for the forthcoming Sultan Azlan Shah Cup to be held in Ipoh, Malaysia next month.

Forward Sunil and Rupinder Pal were rested for the home world cup after their poor form in the preceding Asian Games where India failed to defend the title.

CAMPERS: Goalkeepers PR Sreejesh, Suraj Karkera and Krishan Bahadur Pathak. Defenders: Harmanpreet Singh, Gurinder Singh, Varun Kumar, Kothajit Singh Khadangbam, Surender Kumar, Amit Rohidas, Jarmanpreet Singh, Pardeep Singh, Suman Beck, Mandeep Mor, Birendra Lakra and Rupinder Pal Singh. Midfielders Manpreet Singh, Chinglensana Singh Kangujam, Sumit, Simranjit Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, Hardik Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Yashdeep Siwach and Vishal Antil have been called up. And among forwards, Akashdeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, Mandeep Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Sumit Kumar, Gursahabjit Singh, Shilanand Lakra and SV Sunil.
