Senior Men’s National Championship will be conducted at Bhopal from 10-19 June 2011 with all State and Institutional teams including Services, Air India, Railways and Combined Universities fighting for top honours.
The thirty two participating teams have been divided into eight pools and the championship is being conducted on a league cum knockout format.
All the matches will be played on four artificial turfs situated at Aishbagh Stadium, Mayur Park and Sports Authority of India Centre. Floodlights shall be used from the quarter finals onwards. The new artificial pitch laid at the MP Hockey Academy at Mayur Park will be used for the first time.
Shakeel Qureshi has been appointed the Tournament Director and the matches will be supervised by leading umpires including FIH World Panel and FIH International badge holders from India.
