Come from behind (0-1) to win the championship

St Joseph High School Boys, Khadki edged out Loyola High School 3-2 to bag the Zilla Parishad organised inter-school hockey tournament under-14 title at the SP College on Saturday.
After the goalless first half, Loyolas Pranav Gupta collected the rebound from the Josephs custodian Sai Magade to slam home the match opener, in the 21st minute of play. After conceding a goal the Joseph bounced back when their striker Viraj Mulay found the equaliser. It was a stunner when Mulay after getting the ball in the striking zone raced towards the sidelines and reversed flicked the ball which crashed into the nets. This happened in the 28th of the match.
The Loyola side failed to convert more than one through Monarch Patel. Siddharth Pawar and Abhishek Batellu chipped in a goal each as the Joseph boys bagged the under-14 title.

Earlier, in the semi-finals St Joesph High School defeated New English School 2-0. Akshay Chouhan and Manish Mulay scored a goal each for the winning side. In the other semi-finals the Loyola High School defeated SSPMS Boarding 2-0 where Aditya Tatey and Pranav Gupta scored a goal each for the winners.St Joseph boys in a jubilant mood after the final match —Avinash Rajput.DNA
