HOCKEY Sandeep, Sardar to face brunt of HI ire
Walking out of the national hockey camp on Wednesday may have just cost Sandeep Singh and Sardar Singh their place in the team, not just for the Asian Champions Trophy, but also in the future.
Prior to the team’s departure on Sunday, HI secretary general Narendra Batra along with Pargat Singh, chairman, HI disciplinary committee will meet chief coach Michael Nobbs, government observers Dilip Tirkey and Harbinder Singh and the players’ representatives Rajneesh Mishra and Mukesh Kumar.
In the meeting which is expected to be held on Saturday, the quantum of punishment for the players will be decided.
“This is not a situation which can be taken lightly. It is a serious disciplinary issue, more so because both the players are not first time violators. This issue will be dealt in a meeting later this week,” said Batra.
On the other hand, Nobbs made it all but clear that the duo do not figure in his scheme of things.
“For the foreseeable future they have no place in the team.”

Discipline is starting form the HOME.We all Knows what our HI and IHF doing?
It shows in players also now.Narinder & party will take action but We Hockey lovers knows the nation will suffer.May be BATRA can take revenge from them to attaned WSH ceremony. But Overall its not good for Hocky. The players are also guilty. There are more examples in Hockey when Our Players prefer Nation instead of personnel problem. We can check the example of SV sunil and Kamalpreet Singh when their fatehr died they palyed for Nation.Thanks.
I think, Hockey India should sort out there players problem as we cannot loose world class players sardara n sandeep
