CoE posts win
Madikeri: Centre of Excellence, Bangalore defeated Central Excise, Bangalore by 2-0 in the first match of the Super Division Hockey league matches which commenced at the synthetic playing surface in the Sports Authority of India (SAI), premises here on Saturday. Poonacha (54th) and Manoj (68th) scored.
In the second match, HAL, Bangalore defeated MLI, Belgaum, by a margin of 3-1. The scorers for the winner were, Mohammad Nayeem (11th and 17th) and Abhinav Ganapathi (29th). Ganesh Patil scored for the loser in the 31st minute.
The Coorg Hockey Association, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Hockey Association, is organising the event.
