BANGALORE: DYSS scored a 3-0 win over Leo HC to advance into the quarterfinals of the 12th BCYA State level hockey tournament for ‘B’ and ‘C’ division teams at the BEL grounds, Jalahalli here on Monday.
Vasu opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Chengappa, off a penalty corner in the 42nd, and Ashir (59th) completed the tally.
In the day’s other matches HMT trounced NAL 8-0 while BEML was equally emphatic in its 6-0 rout of Dhyan Chand HC (Tumkur).
Kiran (2), Hari Govinda (2), Nagalinga Swamy and Sathya scored for BEML while HMT got its goals through Ramesh (2), Somanna (3), Gopal (2) and Kirti.
