NEW DELHI: Fresh selection trials for the under-18 boys National hockey camp will be held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre in Bhopal on September 19 and 20.
Various academies have been asked to send the eligible probables alongwith their age verification medical test reports done at digital X-ray units at radiological centres.
Medical examination
After the selection trials, the short-listed players will again undergo medical examination in Bhopal and if found overage shall face a ban.
Besides, a fine of Rs. 5000 per defaulter will be slapped on the academy the players belong to.
The trials will be held to select the Indian team for the under-18 Asia Cup at Yangon, Myanmar, to be held from November 14-22.
The earlier camp was suspended as 50 of the 55 probables were found to be overage after a medical test.
Hockey India has warned the academies and institutions which had sent the overage players. It will also take action against the overage probables. — Sports Reporter
