Indian team for NZ tour

Chennai: The Indian women’s hockey team will play a five Test series against New Zealand from May 13 to 24. The matches will come off at Palmerston North, Wellington.

The series is part of the preparation for the National team for the World Cup to be held at Rosario (Argentina) in August-September this year.

Surinder Kaur will be the captain of the team.

The Tests will be played on May 15, 16, 19, 22, and 23.

Rajini; Defenders: Binita Toppo, Subadhra Pradhan, Joydeep Kaur; Mid-fielders: Ritu Rani,Mukta Barla, Deepika Thakur, Kirandeep Kaur, Roslain Ralte; Forwards: Surinder Kaur (captain), Jasjeet Kaur, Rani, Saba Anjum, Chanchan Devi, Soundaya Yendala, Poonam Rani and Monika Badran. Chief coach: M.K. Kaushik. Coach: Vasu Thaplial; Manager: Ms. Madhu Yadav .
