MEG triumphs
KOVILPATTI: MEG (Bangalore) defeated Indian Overseas Bank (Chennai) 4-2 to win the title in the K.R. Educational Institutions – Lakshmi Ammal Memorial all-India hockey tournament here on Sunday.
Hockey Olympian Dhanraj Pillay gave away the prizes.
The results: Final: MEG 4 (Pruthui Shetty, Keshavam, Rajesh, Ganesh Kumar) bt Indian Overseas Bank 2 (Harmanpreet Singh, Adam Sinclair).
Third place: Canara Bank 2 (Bipin Bopaiah, John Varghese) bt Southern Railway 0 .
