Sports industry not cheered by World Cup
Jalandhar: Hosting the hockey World Cup has done little to improve the fortunes of the famous sports industry of the city as no big order has been received by any of the manufacturing units. “Initially we were hopeful that we would get bulk orders during the World Cup, but all hopes fell flat and not even a single order was received by any popular hockey brand owners,” said Sanjay Kohli, President of the Sports Forum and manufacturer of popular brand of hockey sticks ‘Rakshak’.
