Metro Club ‘B’, Hockey Lovers notch up victories

Metro Club ” B” along with Shiloh Sports Club and Hockey Lovers recorded wins in contrasting styles to make the second round of the junior division of the 107th edition of the All-India Aga Khan hockey tournament which got underway at the Polygrass stadium of the Pimpri – Chinchwad Municipal Corporation(PCMC) yesterday. They scored once each via centre forward Pranay Garsund in the 22nd minute while left winger Swapnil Garsund made it 2-0 in the 27th minute making the best use of the square pass from Ritesh Telang.

While Inside left Ravi Swami sounded the boards from a through pass from Swapnil Garsund in the 29th minute. Railways Police boys wre found wanting as they were a disjointed outfit and failed to score. Shiloh Sports Club boys gave a good account of themselves to get the better of Pankaj XI.

Their supremacy was never indoubt as theyopened their scoring in the 19th minute via inside right Vijay Karketta after being put in possession by Prem Baa. They increased the lead in the 32nd minute centre forward Sujeet Kero while
