Satinder to officiate in CWG
*Chandigarh: Satinder Sharma has been appointed as umpire to officiate at the Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi from October 3. The International Grade – I hockey umpire is working as an officer in the State Bank of India, Panjab University Branch. Satinder is the only Indian hockey umpire who is on the elite panel of FIH and has achieved the rare distinction of holding the Golden Whistle. After having earned the International Grade – I umpire’s cap, Satinder has maintained his position at the top for almost a decade now and has regularly featured in World Cups, Olympics and other international competitions like the Champions Trophy, Asian Games, Asia Cups.
