Hockey India names 34 women probables

Hockey India has shortlisted 34 women probables, after the first phase of the coaching camp at the National Stadium, for the 7th Women’s Champions Challenge-I to be held at Dublin (Ireland) from June 18 to 26 this year. Hockey India selectors picked the probables after a two-day trials at the National Stadium. The final selection trials to name the 18-member squad will be conducted on May 9 and 10. The eight-nation FIH Tournament will feature India, Azerbaijan, Japan, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, the US and hosts Ireland.

The probables: Goalkeepers: Deepika Murty, Yogita Bali, Jasdeep Kaur, E Rajani, Savita and Chaitli Dubrekar; defenders: Joydeep Kaur, Subhadra Pradhan, Preety Sunila Kiro, Jaspreet Kaur and Vaishali Sul; midfielders: Asunta Lakra, Kirandeep Kaur, Deepika, M Barla, Th. Ranjita Devi, R Ralte, R Rani, S Lakra and GKaur; forwards: Surinder Kaur, JK Handa, S Yendala, Monika, Rani, S Anjum, C Devi, Anuradha Devi, R Dung, P Rani, M Kharab, R Singh, P Choudhary, M Dooda.
