We played calmly, says Indian coach Brasa

NEW DELHI: After the big win over Pakistan in their tournament opener, coach Jose Brasa had an advice for his players — don’t get carried away.

Brasa was aware that his players needed to keep their cool when they take on the likes of Australia in the coming matches. “This was just one match and we have earned three points. This is just the start of the tournament and we are just one-game old. We are now looking ahead to other matches. So we must keep our feet on the ground,” Brasa said after the match.

Brasa must be feeling happy that the players kept their emotions in check. “The players did well to keep their emotions in check. They played calmly and did not get carried away by the occasion. The best thing is that they played as a team.”
