Devinder and Pardeep Mor return to national side, as Rohidas to lead junior hockey team for European tour.

Talented midfielder Devinder Walmiki, who has not been considered for the national side for the last two years due to him playing in the World Series Hockey, and Pardeep Mor — who was injured– return to the national side, as Hockey India today announced the team for the Europe tour.

Gurjinder Singh, whose senior international debut early this year was anything but impressive, finds his name in the team too.

Amit Rohidas will lead an 18-member Indian junior men squad in the European tour from May 23-June 5 in preparation for the World Cup to be held here at the end of the year.

The team will play a total of six matches, including two matches against Belgium on 25 and 26 May, three matches against The Netherlands on May 28, 29 and June 1, and one match against Germany on June 4.

According to a press release by Hockey India, selectors Col Balbir Singh, B P Govinda, High Performance Director Roelant Oltmans, chief coach Gregg Clark and coach Baljeet Singh Saini along with government observer Harbinder Singh selected the squad.

Forward Malak Singh will be the vice-captain of the side.
