Indian women’s team used to be a force to reckon with in Asian hockey at least. The twice CWG’s finalists lost the direction last year and could not win any medal in all the four international tournaments they figured in. This despite the fact that the government loosened its purse very generously, and the team had the benefit of touring far away countries such as New Zealand and Argentina.
Now, another effort is being made to make the women team work, the camp almost commenced in Delhi last week. The following the list of players attending the camp under the watchful eyes of new coach CR Kumar.
