Title favorites Australia landed Delhi today in the morning; and then went into quick business like mode. After small break after landing, the team reached the stadium.
Ric Charles Worth, the world’s renowned Hockey Guru was trying to test the every corner of turf with his own style, knocking with stick and ball himself.
Besides other support staff, Paul Lissec, the legendary German Coach – now settled in Malaysia — was with the Australian team on the ground. Paul is helping Ric as advisor to the National side, on special request from Ric.

Ric Charles Worth was happy with the facilities created for the Hockey Mahakumbh to start from Sunday. The Australians are strong contenders of the world Cup this time.

Delhi Police have taken over the security of National Stadium from today onwards. Till now multiplicity of agencies were involved, from construction side, Sports Authority of India side etc.

Even the ground practice schedule and its management is with the FIH. For every small activity there is an import from FIH. It certainly appears Indians don’t know anything!!
