LILY OWSLEY

A former 800m runner, Lily Owsley brings her pace to the fore in an England or Great Britain shirt.
The forward, born on December 10, 1994, made her international debut in 2013. The University of Birmingham Premier Division player has a penchant for scoring and is never short of verve and energy to find the net much to the chagrin of even the most seasoned defenders.
She picked up two monumental gold medals – one in an England shirt at the 2015 EuroHockey Championships in London and the other in Great Britain’s epic 2016 Rio Olympic win over the same opponents in the final, the Netherlands. Both wins accruing from shootouts.
Owsley has earned plaudits for her ball carrying, dribbling and 3-D skills and her ability and desire to attack and will be a key factor in Great Britain’s hopes to retain gold at the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
